Met het gebruiksvriendelijk quick-release HDD-opslag systeem, kunnen gebruikers eenvoudig HDD's swappen. De DURABOOK R13S is voorzien van een Super Multi DVD drive of van een optionele tweede accu met hot-swap ondersteuning voor een extra lange batterij werkduur. Andere functies zijn onder meer beveiliging, waaronder ondersteuning van Absolute Computrace, TPM 2.0 en een Kensington slot, diverse aansluitmogelijkheden als draadloze LAN en Bluetooth 4.2, SIM-kaart slot (4G Modem), GPS-module, en meer.
